There are some, but few exceptions to this rule. Herein lies a possible explanation as to why people often place votes that are not in their best interests, and why a majority of eastern Boca residents voted for the party of climate change deniers. Climate change is an existential threat to our coastal communities. We need to stop asking our elected officials if they believe in climate change and start asking them if they understand it. It’s science – not Santa Claus.
