The Friends of Gumbo Limbo is an organization of Boca Raton residents dedicated to inspiring stewardship of coastal and marine ecosystems, especially through support of Boca Raton’s Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. They have just launched a campaign to bring back the tower at Gumbo Limbo. Those who remember the previous one know how amazing it was to climb and have a vista across the intercoastal and the nature center itself. The “Bring Back the Tower Campaign” has been kick started by a generous donation by the Kosowsky family of Boca Raton in memory of their son Jacob who was tragically killed in a car crash. The fund has been seeded with $250,000 and seeks raise $500,000 to reconstruct a 40 foot modern and ADA compliant version of the tower.
