Better Bike Friendly Advocate – Brian Stenberg

by Les Wilson

As part of our BocaFirst Vision Zero Project, we took our Boca Matters video series out of the studio and onto the street to talk to people about what it’s like to bicycle in Boca Raton. These are real world uses of Boca Raton’s pedestrian/bike infrastructure. In this episode, we profile “Better Bike Friendly” advocate Brian Stenberg. Brian is just a normal guy on a bike occasionally commuting to work, running errands or seeing Boca Raton at 8 miles an hour. He is also a candidate for City Council Seat D in the March 19 2024 Municipal Election.

Better Bike Friendly Advocate Brian Stenberg

PROFILE: Commuter and Around Town Cyclist
DESCRIPTION: Brian commutes 5 miles to and from work when he can. He also enjoys walking and riding around Southeast Boca Raton.
NOTABLE QUOTE: “I’m not against cars. I have a couple if them myself …. It took us 100 years to get where we are with the automobile but we now see there are alternatives to getting around. It shouldn’t take us 100 years or generations to fix it. I don’t think we’re in a position to put it off that much longer.”
