The wheels of change move slowly in government. But as we celebrate three years of Pedestrian and Bike Advocacy at Bocafirst.org, the City of Boca Raton is holding it’s first Micro-Mobility Safety Symposium (aka e-bike, e-scooter and pedal bike safety advocate meetup). Largely due to Deputy Mayor Nachlas’ advocacy as a cyclist herself, the symposium is the City’s first ever outreach on this topic.

Safety Symposium Details
The free event is on Thursday October 30th at Mizner Park in “The Studio (formerly the Cartoon Museum). Details can be found on the city website here.
Notably, from 6pm to 8pm, there will be Keynote speakers and a Panel Discussion at which you will have a chance to make your voice heard. But you must register by Friday the 24th. The symposium is free. Jim Wood and I will be there and yours truly will be participating in the “Experts Panel Discussion” at 7pm. That’s the session where there will be audience participation.
