 Subject: Safety in Boca 

I was very much encouraged by your article about safety on E. Palmetto Park Rd. I applaud you for bringing attention to this topic and for your action in having the city actually do something about this issue. 

I have similar concerns regarding Boca Raton Blvd. between Palmetto Park Road and Glades. Speeding is not only a nuisance but also a real safety issue. Dozens of children live on or near this strip of Boca Raton Blvd ( aka NW 2nd Ave), in addition to the daycare center, older residents and pets regularly crossing and walking along the street. 

I have contacted the police department regarding enforcement as well as the city Council, but any enforcement is short-lived and so I’m hoping for a more long-term and sustainable solution. I’m hoping that you might be able to give me some pointers regarding the best way to get change that will result in a safer neighborhood.
