2023 Uniform Municipal Election Boca Raton Precinct-Level Vote Summary

BOCA RATON – The official Palm Beach County voting results to the precinct level for the March 14, 2023 election were made available March 17. This article provides a summary of Boca Raton’s voting results from that election. The ballot for Boca Raton consisted of a single question regarding a change to the city charter to extend city council member terms in office from three years to four. A YES vote was in favor of the change and a NO vote was against. Citizens voted NO 59% to 41% with NO winning in 76% of the precincts.

Voting Results

The results of the Boca Raton precinct election results are summarized with two graphics at the end of this article for easier study. One is simplified with the margin of victory for each precinct and the other is more detailed with total votes cast and turnout percentages. However in both, the “Margin of Victory” numbers in the circles represent the difference in votes between the YES and NO votes.

Note that the counts might differ slightly between this article and the PBCSOE results due to provisional votes resolutions.

The following table summarizes the YES and NO votes cast as well as the number of precincts won by each. The voter turnout for Boca Raton for the March 14, 2023 election was 9.8%; whereas the average turnout in Palm Beach County for all March 14, 2023 municipal elections was 12.7%

Voting Summary

The Boca Raton turnout was also relatively low compared to the last two Uniform Municipal Elections in the city. This is most likely due to only one question and no candidates on the March 14, 2023 ballot.
